Works-in-progress (samples available upon request):
·"Strays" Novel. Thea escapes the rural cult-like community in which she was raised to run away to New York City. Upon arriving, where she meets the mysterious and Ivy-league educated Clyde. Together, they start their own society modeled after Greek philosophical ideals but what started as a passionate flame soon becomes an all-encompassing love affair that threatens to smother Thea and burn down the whole city in the process.
-"Chemistry" Feature script, Crime Romance. In the vein of classic 80s movies. Two lost post-grads from opposite sides of the track spend a night together in a grocery store hiding from malevolent forces and learn surprising truths about themselves and each other that threaten to upend their lives.
-"Valeria" Pilot Coming-of-Age Drama script. After having a breakdown at her graduation due to the reappearance of her mysteriously disappeared mother, the daughter of a Jeff Bezos-like CEO runs away to the desert to uncover the truth.
·"Bunny" Coming-of-Age Pilot rom com script (heavy on the romantic and heavy on the comedy). Bunny is too much. Bunny is unapologetic. Bunny is funny. Bunny is horny. Bunny is ready to get the guy - and rake in the cash in the process. But most of all, Bunny is ready to finally have it all.
I am very interested in the ways in which we project our fears/desires onto others, what this says about ourselves, and ultimately, the confrontation with our own egos which is necessary to find true love for ourselves and others.
